CLASS COMMITTEE: 2024-2025

A class committee consisting of the director, Class Advisor (CA), Class Tutors, Subject teachers and all the students of the class concerned is formed, with the following purposes.
1. To ensure that all curricular and co-/ extra-curricular activities of the class are carried out as per the requirements smoothly.
2. To assess, measure and monitor the class as a whole. 3. To convey the feedback of teachers regarding the class, attendance and expectations for students.
4. To enable students to provide feedback regarding the teaching-learning process, internal assessments, co-/ extra-curricular activities, student support services, mentoring, etc.
The director shall be the Chairperson of the Committee and the CA shall be the convenor. Class committees shall have three meetings (at least two meetings mandatory) in a semester; the meetings shall be called by the CA.
1. The 1st meeting shall be at the beginning of the semester and will be used to assess the performance of the class in the previous semester.
2. The 2nd and 3rd meetings shall be called after the first and second Centralised Periodical Internal Assessment Tests respectively. The marks obtained in that test and the status of subject assignments submitted for that period shall be used to provide feedback and course improvement for the curricular and co-/ extra-curricular activities of the class.
3. All three meetings will have an assessment of the class by the CA, followed by the comments of teachers and an evaluation of the attendance status of students.
All three meetings could present,
i. Common/open feedback from the class about the problems they faced in class.
ii. Feedback on the teaching-learning process, internal tests, covering of the syllabus, difficult areas of learning, infrastructure, attendance, special help needed, etc. These issues may come up in the open feedback, if not an attempt could be made to elicit the private response of students regarding these elements.
The CA/Tutors shall write the Minutes of the Meeting or direct the Class Representative to do it and it should be submitted to IQAC.
