PROJECT REVIEW COMMITTEE AND GUIDELINES: 2024-25

As part of the DHTT Curriculum, a student must do project work related to investigations of technical industrial problems/design and product development/idea generation/handloom cluster development/handloom entrepreneurship/other areas meant for handloom development in their final year of study. Upon completion of the final year project, the student should be able to describe the project's scope clearly and execute a proper methodology in problem-solving and finishing any task.
Objectives: The committee shall,
1. Provide information to the students on guidelines for project work
2. Facilitate the student's group to take the precise titles for the Project Work
3. Bridge with other sections/staff of the institution to get the right project topics for the student's group.
4. Allot faculty guides & Co-guides (if needed) and support them in doing quality work
5. Assist the project group in getting permission from various companies to do the project work.
Roles and Responsibilities
1. Orientation for Project topics and get details on students' areas of interest.
2. Collect the details of faculty for various project specialisations.
3. Allot project guides and Conduct training sessions for students.
4. Preparation of project seminar schedule, preparation of attendance sheets, evaluation sheets for project seminars and Conducting project seminars as per the schedule.
5. Check project reports for originality, verify with guidelines and conduct plagiarism tests. 6. Approve the final versions of projects for their neatness and arrangement.
7. Coordination for the conduct of external viva-voce examinations.
