Overview

Financial Assistance to Students

Stipend at the rate given in the table below is tenable for a total of 10 months of the corresponding academic session and is paid to all stipendiary candidates subject to the following terms and conditions:

  1. Students will be eligible for stipend only if they have 80% attendance in each month. If a student does not record 80% attendance in a particular month, the stipend for that month is forfeited.
  2. Students in receipt of stipend must execute a Bond in the prescribed form at the time of admission.
  3. Students are eligible for the stipend for the whole session except for periods of absence (vacation or leave with or without permission) exceeding 30 days at a time.

Attendance & Fine

  1. Every student shall attend all classes punctually.
  2. Attendance will be taken for every period. The minimum attendance in each lecture and practical class in each subject is 75%. A student shall not be admitted to the examination if attendance falls short of 75% of the working days during the course.
  3. Loitering on the campus during study hours and unauthorised absence from classes after marking attendance shall call for strict disciplinary action, which may take the form of a fine or suspension from the institute.
  4. Any student found loitering on the premises during class hours, or absent from class unauthorisedly after marking attendance, shall be fined Rs. 10/- for that period, in addition to any further disciplinary action deemed fit by the Director (Institute).
  5. If a student retains a library book for more than 10 days, a fine of Rs. 25/- per day will be recovered.
  6. For issue of a duplicate identity card, a charge of Rs. 50/- will be levied.
